Murrini Favorites - Spring 2011!

Our second quarterly Murrini Favorites are available on our online store! We have two spring collections - Spring Pink and Spring Watercolor!



For those who know me will know that it's Helen's favorites for I have never been a pink girl! :) Helen has been experimenting with different combinations and effects and has narrowed them down to these five after MANY tests and trials! Check them out - I am sure you will find that they are pink at its finest (as far as pink goes! :)!

Each pack contains 25 chips total - five chips of five of our favorite murrini recipes. The chips are hand picked so five of the same will be similar in size, ranging from 3 mm to 5.5 mm. These are limited editions so order yours today!

The second of second quarterly Murrini Favorites is Spring Watercolor! What's so special about these two murrinis is that it's silver glass at its best - effortless! You don't need to strike or reduce to get the beautiful gradients!

Double Helix Murrinis - February 2011 Mix

If you are interested in seeing what many of the Double Helix murrinis from its February mix look like applied, I have put the following together. I apologize in advance that some of the images are slightly blurry but they should still give you a good idea. I also want to point out that I haven't extracted the full potential of many and will be playing with them more. There are some I haven't gotten to trying yet. Check back for more pictures!

Using my butterfly murrinis on my beads!

In my last post, I showed the quarter-size butterfly murrini for my paperweight along with some smaller ones for my beads. I finally had a chance to use them! Two of my Ginormous Capped and Cored series with the wee butterflies! Both made with Double Helix test batches.



Many of my students and customers are always surprised when they actually see my beads in person for they are usually bigger than they thought! Here I put a bunch of my spherical beads in my hand so you can get a point of reference. The smallest one may even be a wee too big for Pandora bracelets! :)



Speaking of GINORMOUS - here is one that just kept growing! The largest capped and cored bead I have ever made.

Our NEW Silver Glass Murrini Favorites Winter 2010/11

We have had requests for murrini collections with a handful of the same murrini chips for making sets, etc. Thus we are launching our murrini favorites winter 2010/11 collections! There are two collections at the moment - reducing and striking - and we are working on two regular ones that will be available shortly.


$12 for each pack containing five chips of five of our favorite murrini recipes. The chips are hand picked so five of the same will be similar in size, ranging from 3mm to 5.5mm. These are limited editions so order yours today at our online store!

Hayley's Current Murrini Collection

I have always loved murrinis and used to purchase them when I first started applying them on my beads for my own was not up to standard. After many trials and errors, my own murrinis finally were acceptable. Moreover, I found the process completely addicting! I love coming up with different color combinations as well as glass reactions. I realize that I have more murrini chips than I can possibly use myself. So when I started getting emails asking if I sell my murrinis, I decided it's time to share.



Since I am not in the murrini business, I don't plan on selling different mixes. Instead, I am selling exactly the ones I use myself regularly. Please note that the collection changes all the time, thus the name "Current Murrini Collection." What you get today and one month from now won't be the same! I offer them in packages of 50 or packages of 100. Each order will come with a reference sheet showing you some of the murrini chips as well as how they look applied.

I use silver glass (Double Helix, StrikingColor, Precision 104, George Tessman, TAG), many of which are odd lots that are no longer available or test batches that have never been released. I use sought-after glass that is currently out of production including, but not limited to, the amazing ASK (Arrow Springs Kugler) palette, Vetrofond Odd Lots, Effetre Cool Colors, CiM Unique, and Lauscha. All the glass I use is COE 104 to ensure compatibility.
